God's Loving Care for All

In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus' prayer is a reminder of the tremendous care that God has for each person - the care we often experience through the actions of all the people around us. We are God's most loved creation and we can be certain that God will always care for us. The Eucharistic Pilgrimage and Congress entitled 'Adoremus' takes place in Liverpool between the 7th and 9th September. The purpose is to help deepen our love for Jesus truly present in the Eucharist. The Archdiocese of Birmingham is currently planning a number of ways for parishioners to participate in this event. Further details to follow during the course of the term.

Year 6 Assessment Week

On Monday our Year 6 children along with thousands across the country will be undertaking their End of Key Stage 2 tests. They have been well-prepared by teachers, support staff and their parents. We pray that God will strengthen and support them to do the best that they possibly can. From 8am each morning next week, the children will be able to have breakfast together and by talking to their peers can help them to be more relaxed before each assessment. Fr. Des will also be joining us on Monday to offer some spiritual support. We also think of our Year 2 children who will be completing End of Key Stage 1 assessments during this month too, although these are conducted on a much more informal basis. There is a pupil guide for children in Year 6 to help and support them in preparation for next week via the Information tab on the home page.
