In this Sunday's Gospel, we are reminded about Jesus' kingship - not one of political power, crowns and splendour, but one of peace and truth. He is not an earthly king - his kingdom is heaven. At his trial Jesus stands up for God's true values of love and forgiveness which lead us to the truth. Jesus also reveals the truth about ourselves. Our leaders in the Archdiocese of Birmingham have supported the independent inquiry concerning events which have happened in the past. The work being conducted through this inquiry will support the strengthening and improvements in safeguarding practice within the Church. The welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults is a fundamental priority of the Archdiocese. We pray for the people who have been affected by events which have happened in the past and pray for our Chuch leaders to continue to guide their communities in the way of Christ Jesus.
Please join our parish this Sunday for Mass at 10.30am as we mark the end of the liturgical year, the feast of Christ the King, Youth Sunday and the enrolment of our Year 6 pupils as they embark on their journey of faith to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday 27th January 2018. Please keep our Year 6 Confirmandi in your prayers at this time.
A reminder that our additional open morning session for Reception 2019 parents will take place on Thursday 29th November starting at 9.15am. Please let any prospective parents know of this date. Thank you.

Pupils at St. Joseph's growing to be faith-filled in their beliefs and hopeful for the future.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for leading us in the way of truth - to help God's kingdom of love to grow in our hearts, in our homes and in our schools. Amen.
In the Service of Peace: That the language of love and dialogue may always prevail over the language of conflict.
