Jesus - the Universal King

In this Sunday's Gospel, we are reminded about Jesus' kingship - not one of political power, crowns and splendour, but one of peace and truth.  He is not an earthly king - his kingdom is heaven.  At his trial Jesus stands up for God's true values of love and forgiveness which lead us to the truth.  Jesus also reveals the truth about ourselves.  Our leaders in the Archdiocese of Birmingham have supported the independent inquiry concerning events which have happened in the past.  The work being conducted through this inquiry will support the strengthening and improvements in safeguarding practice within the Church.  The welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults is a fundamental priority of the Archdiocese.  We pray for the people who have been affected by events which have happened in the past and pray for our Chuch leaders to continue to guide their communities in the way of Christ Jesus.

Notification of Diocesan Section 48 Inspection

The school has been notified that a Section 48 inspection (Archdiocese of Birmingham) will take place on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th December 2018.  The inspectors will be Mrs Mary Daniels and Sister Susan Collins who have both spent many years as Head teachers of Catholic schools.  This will review the school's progress with recommendations from an interim visit back in April 2017 and also evaluate the school's effectiveness in the Catholic Life, Religious Education and Collective Worship provision. Please keep all the school members in your prayers as we prepare for our visit.
