The Power of Love

In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that our love for God is also made known through the way that we love others. Whenever we love and care for one another we can be sure that God is with us. These are God's greatest commandments: to love God, our neighbour and ourselves. During these unusual times, we can forget to love and look after ourselves.  Unfortunately, when we forget to do this we can become withdrawn, depressed, lonely and perhaps feel unloved by others.  The wellbeing of adults as well as young people is so important too especially with all the pressures of life.  Further details about 24-7 support in our locality can be found below.  Remember it is important to talk to someone.

Autumn Term Parent Consultation

Today, you will receive a push notifcation via the School Life App, which will alert you to check your emails for your child's Autumn term report.   As mentioned in the letter sent out earlier this week, this will provide parents with an overview on how the children have settled back into school life as well as the academic achievements and targets for the year ahead.  We hope you find this a positive alternative under the current climate of restrictions.  Next term, we are hoping to be able to offer either face-to-face sessions or possibly consultations using Microsoft Teams.  If you do have any queries about your child's report then please contact the school via the 'info' email address. We wish every member of our school community a happy and relaxed half term break.  School will reopen on Monday 2nd November to all children.

Project Gambia Shoe Box Appeal

Thank you to everyone who has supported the ‘Christmas Shoebox’ appeal to help the children who live in Kotusilo and also the children who attend the schools at Half Dye, Hanne Vibe and Spring of Life. We hope to be able to share some images of the children receiving their gift boxes later on this term.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
