Thank you for your contributions to the PTA Father's Sale earlier this week and also to our team of volunteers who supported in organising this event for the children. We give thanks to our fathers, husbands, grandfathers and think of those who are no longer with us. In this Sunday's Gospel we are reminded how we can help to grow God's kingdom, our heavenly father, here on earth. Jesus was a fantastic story teller and we are reminded about the parable of the mustard seed which is the foundation of our Catholic virtues across the Archdiocese in Birmingham. Each child, made in the image and likeness of Christ, should grow and develop to their God-given potential with support from the school, parents and parish. Let us consider ways in which we can live out God's kingdom here on earth through our words and actions - to love God and each other more each day.
Thank you to our Year 5 pupils who supported Mr Carry in organising the Soccer Aid Playground Challenge event last Friday. A total of £191.80 has been raised which will be doubled by the Government. This means that we have helped to raise enough money for UNICEF to buy a water pump for a village of school. The official football match on Sunday evening was also played in a good spirit with England beating the Rest of the World team during an intense penalty shoot out. Overall a grand total of £5,540,249 has been raised by this event nationally which will support so many of our brothers and sisters around the world.
Thank you to the whole school community for supporting this year's Father Hudson's Appeal. We have raised a grand total of £717.76 which exceeded our target of £500. Your continued generosity is appreciated.
Congratulations to our School Football Team who beat Pedmore Primary School in a friendly fixture 7-1 last Friday. There is also a girls' football fixture planned against Gigmill Primary School on Wednesday 27th June.
The school has received a further complaint regarding the driving and parking in the car park at drop off and collection times. Please be mindful of children crossing the car park. We are very fortunate to have a facility like this in place rather than having to park in the local vicinity. Please work with us to ensure all users are safe but especially our children. Thank you.

Pupils at St. Joseph's are growing to be attentive to their experience and to their vocation; and discerning about their choices they make and the effects of those choices.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for your love and care. Please help us to build up your kingdom in our hearts and in the world - to do your work on earth with love and care for all. Amen.
