Good morning Year 1! Click on the link below to find out about the learning today.

Maths Work

This is our final week of Addition and Subtraction within 10. You can show your parents how much you know about wholes, parts, part-whole models, number sentences and fact families. We'll be subtracting in different ways like counting back and finding the difference.

Look at the activities in the PDF below - there's a video lesson and activity for each day (Monday to Thursday) and a couple of games to play on Friday.

Have fun and let me see your finished work. Send it to: year1@st-jo-st.dudley.sch.uk

Handwriting (Kinetic Letters)

This week, we will go back over the Abracadabra Family letters we've learnt so far (c, o, a, d, and g) then we'll look at the letters q and s. We'll keep practising our correct pencil grip (with our pencil grip song) and snuggling and spacing letters.

Try and practise your handwriting every day, just for 10 minutes or so.

Your special whiteboards are at school, so you can print out some sheets (see below) or ask your parents to draw some lines on paper for you.  You can add the special tree, Brave Monkey and Scared Monkey.

Keep an eye on this page as I'll be uploading new videos regularly.

Friday's PSHE Lesson.

What makes you happy? It might be spending time with family or friends, eating a big slice of chocolate cake, singing and dancing or getting messy with arts and crafts. Print out the PDF (or draw your own picture and thought bubbles). Draw and label something that makes you happy in each bubble. Put your 'Happy Pictures' on display where you can see them.  Whenever you feel sad or worried, try to do something that makes you happy.
