Friday 17th October

Dear Parents and Carers

In Sunday’s Gospel we are reminded by Luke of the importance of prayer and seeking justice for all. Even if we do not get what we ask for at first, we should continue talking to God and seeking what is right. Within this Jubilee year we are reminded to seek justice throughout our world. Luke’s message to us of patience and trust in God is an important one. There are times when all of us become frustrated with how much we pray and challenge injustice, yet we still see this across our world. As Pope Leo also reminds us, “The Almighty will not be outdone in generosity to those who serve the people most in need: the greater the love for the poor, the greater the reward from God.” With this in mind, let us continue to seek truth, justice and what is right to create a more just and fair world. God will always listen!

Open Morning - Reception starters 2026

We were delighted to welcome so many families to our Open Morning and afternoon sessions this week. Thank you too to Mrs Eyre who served teas and coffees to the prospective parents! If you do know of anyone who has a child starting school in September 2026, please tell them to get in touch. A full Reception class supports us greatly.

Please ‘spread the word’ to anyone who is applying for a Reception school place for September 2026 – we can’t wait to show them our school!

Autumn parent survey

At St Joseph's, we are always keen to seek the feedback of our community so that we are able to listen and grow as a school.

As such, I would invite you to complete our Autumn survey and share your thoughts with us by Friday 17th October.

I can assure you that I read all responses, and should there be anything that you would prefer to talk to you child's class teacher, Mrs Mitchell or I about, please do not hesitate to contact us.
