Principal's Welcome

As Principal, I am delighted to welcome you to the website of St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Stourbridge.

We are a happy, caring and successful school which is well-respected in the local community. Our school has a strong Catholic ethos where in following the Gospel values of Jesus, we are called to love, to learn and to respect one another.

A strong link exists between the School and the Parish of Our Lady and All Saints Church in Stourbridge with our Parish Priest, Father Philip. We firmly believe in a collaborative partnership between home, School and Parish so that together we can support every child to develop and grow to their full potential.

Everyone at St. Joseph's is dedicated to providing the best possible education and care to every single young person we serve. Christ is at the centre of all Catholic education and through the teaching of the Gospel values and Catholic virtues, we provide an exciting, broad and balanced curriculum so that every child can develop their God given abilities and skills during their time at St. Joseph's and are well prepared for their next stage of education.

Our school has a very strong 'family feel' and is truly at the heart of the community. This is reflected in the strong relationships that exist between our governors, parents, staff and pupils.

We are thankful for the support that we receive from parents, as the primary educators, in preparing the children for the next steps in their education and faith journey.

Since February 2021, the School has been part of the Emmaus Catholic Multi-Academy Company. The School has retained its own identity and, with the support from the other Catholic schools, has continued to grow from strength to strength.

The school website provides an interesting insight of life at St. Joseph's where our  curriculum is well sequenced and prior knowledge is developed to ensure that all children are supported and challenged further on their educational and spiritual journey. Our children receive purposeful further opportunities to bring the curriculum to life for enjoyment and to enhance their learning further.

I hope that you enjoy your visit to our school website, and that it gives you a feel of the positive culture of our wonderful school where we aim to demonstrate the qualities that St. Joseph was renowned for: care, compassion, justice  and integrity.
